Cleanse your energy while traveling
I love to travel! It forces me to step out of my comfort zone into a place in the unknown. I love to expand my horizons even though it can get challenging with a sensitive person such as myself.
As traveling can get a little stressful, from long flights to the occasional travel delays or adjusting to new time zones. I always remind myself how I align my energy. Energy is everything. Energy is all around us. They absorb both positive and negative energies, knowingly and unknowingly. Consciously or unconsciously… Sometimes these energies can have us feeling unbalanced, ungrounded, and unlike ourselves, dampen the joy of traveling.
As a Shamanic Reiki healer, it’s very important for me to regularly cleanse my aura as I can tap into energies very easily. It’s also very important to be able to create boundaries and protect your energetic fields too. That’s why I like to travel with an energy cleansing kit, an aura cleansing mist, and healing crystals. I will admit that there’s something that makes me feel like I’m surrounded by magic when I’m carrying around my kit with me. My energy cleansing kit consists of both sage bundles, Palo Santo sticks and matches for smudging.
Crystals like selenite, obsidian, smoky quartz and black tourmaline are fantastic aura purifiers that you can wear or use to sweep away negative energy. An aura cleansing mist aligns your aura and gives way to love and kindness. By cleansing our energy fields and balancing our aura, we can truly be in the moment to capture all the joy we come across.
Think of it as traveling with energy clearing kit as a wonderful way for you to maintain your self-care practice while on the road. Protecting your energetic field is of extreme importance, and the kit is a great tool in helping to balance your mood, maintain energy levels, and allow the body to maintain its internal harmony.
Here are some suggestions as to what to bring on your next travel:
White Sage Bundle or White Sage Cleansing Mist
Smudging your sacred space, your home or office, or even your body with sage is like taking an energetic shower, or doing a deep metaphysical cleansing. The smoke from dried white sage actually changes the ionic composition of the air, and can have a direct effect on reducing our stress response. Smudging is ritual alchemy — changing and shifting the air element, and transforming our current experience to a mystical one. Any conflict, anger, illness or evil was absorbed by the sage smoke to be released or cleansed from the energy field of a person.
After you cleanse the energy with the white sage, you welcome in the good energy such as palo santo. This would be burned next to call forth the energy of peace and love. This ancient shamanic mystical ritual is a simple one to incorporate into your daily or weekly routine, or any time you feel like you might need a little aura polishing.
Helps retain your light, blocks out and even clears negative energy. It’s perfect so that you don’t take on the energy and feelings of others.
A bodyguard to your soul, this protects you from shadow traits -- addiction, fear, anxiety, and anger-- by acting as a mirror to your inner self.
This helps transmute any sort of negative energy. The stone absorbs [it] so that you don’t carry it around with you.
I literally carry this near my heart wherever I go. This is a force field protector, another bodyguard stone that provides protection and elimination of negative energy.
For radiating joy, positivity, growth and abundance. It is one of the only crystals that does not store any negativity. Working with it infuses your soul with happiness and light to open you up to the new opportunities and positive possibilities that already surround you.
Great for stress-relief, protection, purification, and it’s helped me counteract sleeplessness that comes from jet lag.
The “traveler’s stone” for good luck - avoided many travel delays!
For protection from energy draining people and any machine that transmits electromagnetic frequencies (EMFs).
Do you practice or do anything similarly to this? I’ll love to know!
